I kicked off New Years Eve with an unforgettable Billy Joel Concert at the Barclays Center. The Oyster Bay staple and Long Island icon is so beloved by all of New york that he performed to sold out audiences every month at Madison Square Garden and various other venues all year long. For National Heart Association Month, Milieu Publisher Beverly Fortune, and I attended The Go Red for Women Luncheon at the Crest Hollow Country Club. The cocktail hour was an amazing networking opportunity. I’ve never seen so many red suits and dresses! The luncheon had a strong educational component that sought to increase public awareness of cardiovascular disease and risk factors – particularly as they apply to women. GoRedForWoman.org

The Sunrise Fund at Stony Brook hosted the Little Miracles-For Children with Cancer Fashion Show and Dinner to benefit Stony Brook Children’s Hospital as well as to raise awareness about childhood/young adult cancer in the community. Mallory Feeney, a Milieu Magazine intern, joined me as my guest. We loved the Fairy tale theme of the evening. HSC.Stonybrook.edu/Sunrisefund/

Some of Long Islands top restaurants  created a delicious three course tasting menu  for only $27.95.  Prime Steakhouse and Tellers Chophouse top  my list as the most delicious restaurants. I can’t wait to check out the list of participants in 2015! LongIslandRestaurantWeek.com

The legendary Central Park restaurant Tavern on the Green celebrated it’s grand opening after a significant re-modeling and re-design. Celebrity guests included Fran Drescher, Regis Philbin, Martha Stewart, Michael Imperioli and so many more. My favorite part was the kitchen tour! TavernOnTheGreen.com

Long Island Hospitality Ball raised $361,000 last year for the American Cancer Society. This is one of the glossiest and most beautiful tasting events of the year. I’m so happy to have had the opportunity to take part in it for the past three years. LongIslandHospitalityBall.com

Super Saturday August august

The 16th annual Super Saturday Hamptons shopping event hosted by Kelly Ripa and Donna Karan raised an incredible $3.5 million for ovarian cancer research. Milieu Magazine cover model Lyss Stern had a special tent for children that was beyond impressive. Even the adults enjoyed visiting Camp Divalysscious. SuperSaturday.OCRF.org/

Later that evening I attended “Hamptons Happening” – a tasting event benefiting the Samuel Waxman Research Center for cancer research. There, I had the opportunity to meet Betsey Johnson and catch up with Long Island’s favorite reality TV star, Jill Zarin! WaxmanCenter.org

Kelly Rutherford hosted the Inaugural Benefit for the Children’s Justice campaign. It was a night of cocktails, conversation and entertainment. The Children’s Justice campaign is a non-profit dedicated to obtaining media attention highlighting the injustices committed by the U.S Family Court System on the innocent children involved. Kelly Rutherford was the keynote speaker and Christie Brinkley, Lauren London and many more celebs and socialites attended the event. ChildrensJusticeCampaign.org

Long Island is home to the Book Revue, a bookstore in Huntington where authors host Q&A sessions and signings to promote their new books. It was a September to remember when I was able to meet Mario Lopez and purchase a book adorned with his signature! BookRevue.com

Every October, Hollywood comes to New York for the Hamptons Film Festival. Filmmakers and movie enthusiasts crowd the streets of the Hamptons for movie premieres and screenings. The blockbusters that topped my list were The Last Five Years, Imitation Game and FoxCatcher. What an exciting experience! HamptonsFilmFest.org

The Fall Into Fashion Luncheon benefiting the Diabetes Research Institute was an elegant event featuring a spectacular runway fashion presentation by St. John at the Garden City Hotel. The event has raised more then $3 million dollars for diabetes research. The day was filled with fashion, great food and important information and updates about the progress that’s been made in the effort toward a cure. DiabetesResearch.org

The Jones Beach Christmas Light Spectacular was back this year and it was better then ever. The drive through event was the beginning of a very festive season and helped make a wonderful year even better. (JonesBeach.com)
